Did We Just Lose Another 'Legends' Character?

Brrr, is it cold in here or is it just Snart and Mick's icy friendship? Thursday night's Legends of Tomorrow episode "Marooned" saw this villainous friendship get put on ice, so to speak, after Mick made the unwise decision to broker a deal with the time pirates in order to get back to 2016. Of course, he was hoping that Snart would join him, but Captain Cold's become more of a team player these days and opted to align himself with his other fellow Legends. And when it came time to decide what to do with Mick after his betrayal, Snart insisted that he'd handle it. How, you may ask? By appearing to use his blast gun on his former bestie. But does this necessarily mean that Snart killed Mick on Legends of Tomorrow ? I wouldn't go getting too worried about it just yet.

Judging by the devastated look in Snart's eyes, he wouldn't have been able to outright kill his partner in crime. They've been through too much together for him to pull a move like that. Not to mention that actor Dominic Purcell, who plays Mick (aka Heat Wave) is still listed as being in all 16 episodes, so I doubt it's the last we'll see of him. If anything, I think Snart turned Mick into a temporary popsicle until they figure out what to do with him. (Or maybe he just thought this would give his friend a nice literal opportunity to cool off.) But I highly doubt it's in a fatal capacity.

However, if you tried to get to me explain to you how that would work, I couldn't. Normally, I thought getting hit with Captain Cold's gun meant instant death, but maybe there's some sort of loophole around it? Or maybe Mick radiates so much heat that it can't kill him? I honestly don't know, so you're guess is as good as mine. But after getting to know Snart more and witnessing firsthand how much he cares about Mick, there's no way he'd betray him in such a deadly way. Good old Heat Wave will return to us at some point, you have my word. Let's just hope their friendship will be able to survive it.
