Is Kendrick Lamar’s New Album On iTunes?

by Mary Grace Garis

With albums being leaked left and right, it feels as though nobody can surprise us with yet another sneak release anymore... and yet here we are. As it would turn out, Kendrick Lamar debuted his new album untitled unmastered. on Spotify Thursday night, and it sure is an incredible collection of songs, all sans names and saddled up with dates. Suffice to say, untitled unmastered. seems to not be so much of a brand new album, but instead more of a project featuring a handful of songs that didn't make it on the cut of Lamar's 2015 release To Pimp A Butterfly. Whatever the case may be, you're probably eager to add some of these tracks to your iPhone ASAP, and that yearning begs the question: is Lamar's untitled unmastered. on iTunes?

Well, brace yourselves for some very, very good news. As of right now, untitled unmastered. is already available on iTunes, running $9.99 for the actual album and $1.29 per track.

Even though these previously unreleased tracks are new additions to Lamar's discography, they're not exactly a locked up secret. In fact, Lamar has started incorporating some of the untitleds into his set list, and not just for little shows here and there — lest we forget, Lamar debuted and performed one of the untitled tracks at the Grammy Awards earlier this year.

"I got a chamber of material from the album that I was in love [with] where sample clearances or something as simple as a deadline kept it off the album," Lamar told 2DopeBoyz. "But I think probably close to ten songs that I'm in love with that I'll still play and still perform that didn’t make the cut." It's clear that Uuntitled unmastered. is now that chamber, but now I'm starting to wonder if there are other doors to be opened. untitled unmastered.: Deluxe? untitled unmastered.: The Remixes?

The point is, whether it's downloaded on iTunes, or played on national award shows, Lamar has got you covered when it comes to the untitleds.
