Pregnant Pole Dancer Is Your New #MaternityGoals

by Kat George

When you picture being pregnant, you probably don't picture being a pregnant pole dancer. But mom-to-be Jill MacLean doesn't care about prescribed notions of what maternity should look like, and she's pole dancing her way through hers like an absolute star. MacLean is a pro pole dancer, and watching her do her thang while heavily pregnant is more than impressive. My first thought was how amazingly strong she must be to hold up her own body weight plus baby while doing the splits mid-air. It's seriously inspirational. The 36-year-old, who goes by Cleo the Hurricane professionally, wrote on her blog that she used pole dancing to help her feel sexy even while with child.

McLean posted a video of herself pole dancing to her Facebook page, and at apparently seven days to her due date, she's been laying off things like inversions to keep the baby safe, but she's still twirling in her high heels like it isn't even a thing. On her blog, she continues, "I take my pregnancy VERY seriously and would never put on a pair of seven- or eight-inch heels if I wasn't completely comfortable and confident in them. To be honest, I am more clumsy at home barefoot than I am in a studio with sky-high stilettos on." I believe her:

McLean wrote about the importance of documenting her pregnancy on her blog. "I'm so glad I didn't hang up the heels completely during my pregnancy... I'm not really 'pole dancing' that much (definitely no tricks or inversions) but I have been taking flexy pregnancy pics nearly every month in my pole gear as it is such a significant time in my life and what a better way to document it... in the splits or on the pole!" she says. And document she has, showing off her amazing flexibility and skill via her social media accounts, including her Instagram:

Flexing waits for no baby:

I'm a sucker for costumes, so my favorite is probably this cop-inspired get up:

Meanwhile, McLean has zero qualms about what she does, and no time for your judgement. On her blog she wrote, "I am not going to write a speech justifying what I do, as a pole dancer and now as a soon-to-be-mother. But I will say this... As women we all want to feel sexy, this is how I feel sexy... YES.. dressing up as a cop in 8" heels and posing for a picture, or doing the splits. YES... girls ALSO just wanna have fun! Well, I certainly do! This is how I express myself and I'm sure my son is gonna think his mum rocks when we bring out these pics on his 21st birthday! My husband also thinks I'm pretty cool!" I think she's cool too. You can watch the whole video of her sexy pole dance below:
