The One Color You Need In Your Closet This Spring Will Brighten Up Your Wardrobe
Spring is officially here, which means one thing: Blacks, navy blues, and browns go in hiding. Just kidding —neutrals are always in style. But this spring, blush pink will be the color of the season, mark my words. Maybe it was Drake's Hotline Bling influence, or maybe it's the resurgence of warm weather. Either way, I'm not complaining.
I'm a firm believer that black is always the way to go, no matter what season, what time of day, or what occasion. It's the most versatile, and can be dressed up or down with ease. You can literally never go wrong with wearing a black item. And most fashion girls and French women will have to agree with me. But that being said — I've developed a deep love for colors that I'm trying to explore.
Julianne Hough at the Lord & Taylor launch of her Jules x MPG in New York City essentially just confirmed my love for this new journey. Hough rocked a blush pink dress and nude Kurt Geiger London heels that made her look chic as hell. And I've got to say — the color totally made it. Had it been in black, it wouldn't have had the same effect.
It only makes sense that this season's color is so much like Pantone's color of the year, Rose Quartz. When I tell you it's been all over New York City, I mean all over. I was just shopping with a friend of mine, and she was on the hunt for a "light pink" shirt. It is literally everywhere, from store windows, to fashion bloggers, to celeb appearances.
