Rihanna Loves These 'Shark Tank' Headphones
First launched in 2011 by Keir Dillon, Frends Headphones have already managed to make quite a splash — and now they're slated to make their first appearance on Shark Tank. Created with an eye towards merging fashion and technology, they've already largely succeeded, having collaborated with high-end designers like Dolce & Gabbana and Zadig & Voltaire, as well as popular brands like BaubleBar and Swarovski. And when you see Frends Headphones arrive on Shark Tank, you'll undoubtedly want to own a pair yourself. Unfortunately, that's not going to be an easy feat, considering how much some of the products cost.
As such, Frends Headphones have already gained a lot of traction and name recognition, and they've even had a few successful pop-up shops. Many of the coolest DJs in town have been known to sport their look, and perhaps most fabulously of all, Rihanna tweeted a photo of herself wearing a jewel-encrusted contraption from the brand's capsule collection with Dolce & Gabbana. Not long after, the style quickly sold out (though, have no fear — if you happen to have several grand lying around, it's since been restocked).
With a track record like this, it's tough to imagine Frends leaving the show without some kind of deal with the Sharks, right? At any rate, you might want to take a look at some of the company's admittedly fab wares to grab some before they inevitably sell out. Though the Rihanna-approved Dolce & Gabbana headphone-crown is fairly unattainable at almost $9,000 a pop, most of Frends' other merchandise retails from around $150-$200, which is considerably more manageable.
