Would You Rent Your Wedding Dress?

Someone is getting a raise. The designer rental e-boutique Rent the Runway has decided to offer their customers wedding dresses in addition to the slew of high fashion gowns, accessories, and jewelry they already carry. To kick off the initiative, RTR will start carrying bridal gowns at their pop-up boutique at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, because in case you weren't aware, it's the beginning of wedding season over in Sin City.

So, if, let's say, you find yourself in the mood to get hitched in Vegas, you can shop eight different looks from designers Badgley Mischka, Nicole Miller, BCBGMAXAZRIA, Theia and Erin Fetherston. For same-day dress rental, prices will range from $125 to $225, which is a steal in comparison to their retail prices.

If you are, however, looking to rent dresses for longer (and for weddings outside of Vegas), it appears that you can rent gowns for 8 days. Rent the Runway suggests renting the dresses 1-2 days before your big event (in case of a fashion emergency). The pickings remain slim at the moment, but there are still a handful of gems we'd consider wearing for our big day:

BADGLEY MISCHKA

This soft ivory, trumpet-shape gown by Badgley Mischka hugs in all the right places. It'll only cost you $150 to rent (retail is $680).

NICOLE MILLER

This Nicole Miller gown features soft ruching that can help hide curves and flatter the figure and will only cost you $150 to rent (retail is $880).

THEIA

If you're feeling more princessy, consider renting this tulle gown by Theia for $185 (retail $995).

Here's the rest of the selection. Would you take the dive?
