Nick Hagelin Is #RelationshipGoals On 'The Voice'

by Marenah Dobin

Who would have thought that Nick Hagelin would make such an amazing comeback on The Voice? He got saved by coach Christina Aguilera and became her Comeback Artist. Then he blew everyone away when he was voted into the Top 12. Now he is standing on his own and doing just fine. Nick epitomized all of the #relationshipgoals with his performance of a Blake Shelton song on this week's episode of The Voice.

In the weekly preparation, Nick revealed that he was dedicating the performance "Mine Would Be You" to his wife and that he writes and sends her poems every single night that they are apart. He is so far from that stereotype of a some womanizing aspiring rock star. His love for his wife just gives everyone everywhere all of the #relationshipgoals.

It seemed like Pharrell viewed "Mine Would Be You" as a Nick Hagelin song instead of a Blake Shelton one when he said, "First of all, Blake should write more songs for you. You embody them in a way that gives them a whole different life." And he also said, "I could see you on the charts with that song."

His stripped down version of the song impressed everyone, including Blake Shelton himself. Blake gave Nick props when he said that people at his upcoming show would "be like do the Nick Hagelin version. You suck compared to Nick."

Nick's coach Christina called Nick a "pleasure to work with" and said it was a "beautiful dedication to [his wife]."

Everyone was surprised that Nick Hagelin would take on a country song and he totally nailed it. Pretty much every woman who watches The Voice is probably jealous of Nick's wife and her beaming smile in the audience. Not only does Nick have the talent to be a successful singer, but he has a beautiful love story that the viewers like me would love to see play out in future performances and in a post-Voice career.
