There Could Be Big BBMAs & Britney News

by Kristie Rohwedder

Hey, fellow Britney Spears devotees? When Robin Leach of The Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous fame tells us to chill out, I believe it is best to heed his recommendation. After all, the Las Vegas Sun writer is one of the best sources of Brit Brit gossip; the man knows his stuff. So when Robin Leach says there’s major Britney Spears Billboard Music Awards news on the horizon, I’m inclined to “calm down, take a deep breath, be patient,” and take his word for it. Because the man knows his stuff.

On Friday, Leach addressed the Britney Army on the Las Vegas Sun website:

Two weeks ago, I Wicked Whispered the possibility of Britney appearing on the live, three-hour telecast of the 2016 Billboard Music Awards at our new T-Mobile Arena on May 22.

Leach went on to request that the "Till The World Ends" singer's fans— some of whom apparently “blasted” him for not sharing any more details — calm down and trust that his sources are “impeccably reliable.”

“Expect a big announcement Monday from Billboard Music Awards producers that will make you all happy,” he continued. “I know what’s coming but am sworn to secrecy until then. Britney’s fans will be very happy, and our scoops do come true.”

So, what might this "big announcement" be about? Earlier this month, Leach said Godney could be scheduled to debut her to-be-released single, which is reportedly titled “Make Me (Oooh),” at the 2016 BBMAs.

I. Am. So. Excited. For. Monday's. Big. Announcement.

In the meantime, I'll watch this little number from the 2015 BBMAs:

I can't wait to hear the big announcement. I can't wait to hear "Make Me (Oooh)." I can't wait for the BBMAs. Am I getting ahead of myself? Definitely. Do I care? Not one bit.
