Your Fave 'Buffy' Season Says A Lot

Television does not get much more influential than Buffy the Vampire Slayer . As many know, Buffy was more than a show — it was a lifestyle. To know the Scooby Gang was to not only love them, but want to join them in their vampire slaying, monster fighting adventures. For seven seasons, Buffy and her friends saved the world (a lot) and made the television landscape a much cooler, more feminist space. Each one of those seasons was different, from the big bad right down to the messages it was trying to impart, and so it's no wonder then that your favorite season of Buffy the Vampire Slayer speaks volumes about who you are as a person.

Whether you love "old school, monster of the week and '90s-tastic" Buffy the best or the "hardened soldier on a mission to give girls everywhere power" Buffy that the character had evolved into by the series' end, the one season you always turn to when you need some Buffy goodness is revealing. Every season brought a massive amount of change to the characters and the show, so it only makes sense that one part of that growing process spoke to you more than another.

Are you ready to find out what your preferred era of Buffy has to say about you and your own awesomeness? Let's dive in.

Season 1

You enjoy the simple things in life — a good cup of coffee, a well-crafted quip, and a fun monster of the week story is all you need to be happy. Your ability to find joy everywhere makes you a laid back person who is not easily angered. You may actually have more chill than Oz, and that is saying something. As a result, you are the person your friends turn to in a crisis because while their heads are the kind stuff falls off of, yours is as level as can be.

Season 2

You have the soul of a storyteller. There is nothing you appreciate more than a well-crafted story. You are naturally gifted at keeping people entertained. Whether you are throwing a dinner party or just hanging with your little cousins, people cannot help but hang onto your every word. You are the type of person who could have taught Xander a thing or two about the art of being cool.

Season 3

As reliable as Old Faithful, your friends know exactly what they are going to get from you at all times. You are a smart, funny driven person who has no time to waste on things that make you unhappy. While you are always the first person in your group to lend a helping hand or a shoulder to cry on, you are not always sunshine and rainbows. There is a lot going on in your head, but it takes a special person to get you to open up and reveal your feelings.

Season 4

There is nothing you love more than new experiences. You love trying new foods, visiting new places, and going on spontaneous road trips. You are a risk taker down to your core, and if you stumble across an activity you don't like you will quickly abandon it for one you do. Some may think you are looking for your way, but anyone who truly knows you will understand wanderlust is in your DNA.

Season 5

You know exactly what you want out of life and you will do whatever it takes to achieve your goals. You have a deeply intense and thoughtful side. New people sometimes wonder why you are so reserved, but if you seem distant it is because the weight of the world is always resting on your shoulders — well, at least that is how it feels. Being so dedicated to your family, friends, and dreams is amazing, but don't forget to take a little downtime just for you every now then too.

Season 6

Some people can hide their emotions. You are not one of those people. You feel everything deeply and intensely, and TV is the perfect medium to let you process all of your feelings. Sometimes life can be overwhelming, and when it is you escape into a world of television, books, art, and movies. Intuitive and sensitive, your feelings can be easily hurt, but you also have a way of just knowing when someone needs you. It is your endless capacity for empathy that people admire the most about you.

Season 7

Fierce and confident, if you were a cookie you would be fully cooked. You know exactly who you are and you won't compromise yourself for anything. You channel all of your passion into empowering those around you to find their own paths in life. It is hard not to be envious of your motivation, but you will be the first one to admit you had to walk a long road to become the amazing person you are now.

While you no doubt love every season of Buffy — how could you not? — your favorite season speaks to your heart on a deeper level than all the others combined.
