The First 'Guardians of the Galaxy' Teaser is Out

Marvel just did Guardians of the Galaxy fans a big solid. On Tuesday, the first official teaser for Guardians of the Galaxy was released. While it's only 19 seconds-long, it's 19 seconds of awesome for fans that includes plenty of explosions and action — and is that a shirtless and ripped Andy Dwyer I see yonder? Well helloooooooo there.

In the teaser (comprised of superheroes that you've never seen on the big screen before), you can also see Gamora (Zoe Saldana), Groot (Vin Diesel), and Peter Quill (Chris Pratt) aka Star-Lord, flying Milano, his spaceship. The villainous blue-skinned Nebula (Karen Gillan) also looks fabulously evil.

Djimon Hounsou as Korath the Pursuer also speaks the only dialogue in the teaser while he holds a gun. "Who are you?" Hounsou asks.

The film also stars Bradley Cooper as Rocket, John C. Reilly as Rhomann Dey, Glenn Close as Nova Prime Rael, and Benicio Del Toro as Taneleer Tivan/The Collector. Guardians of the Galaxy is described as Peter Quill finding himself "the object of an unrelenting bounty hunt after stealing a mysterious orb coveted by Ronan, a powerful villain with ambitions that threaten the entire universe."

You can watch the full debut Guardians of the Galaxy trailer on Jimmy Kimmel Live tonight. Guardians of the Galaxy is being released on August 1.
