Johnny Weir & Tara Lipinski Are BFFs IRL

They might not be making headlines anymore for figure skating in the Olympics, but Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski sure do when it comes their colorful commentary at different sporting events, which they will continue to do at Saturday's Kentucky Derby and at the the 2016 summer Olympics in Rio. If you've been wondering whether or not Johnny Weir and Tara Lipinski are friends in real life, wonder no further, because they most definitely are. That's right, their onscreen chemistry isn't just for the cameras, it's 100 percent genuine.

So much so, that their BFF status is something they both cherish and can't help but gush about in interviews and all across Instagram. For example, while chatting with HuffPost Live in October 2014, Weir opened up about their friendship. "We have extreme mutual admiration for each other's talents, our gifts," he said. "At the end of the day, we sit in a big bed, we eat Hershey bars and Goldfish and gossip like anyone."

He then added,

It's a gift from God that I can work with somebody that I love so much. Being figure skaters, it's very individualistic, very cutthroat, the black swan has nothing on the world that we come from. So, to find somebody that you can trust wholeheartedly with everything that goes on in your life, it's truly rare and I'm so thankful for it.

And they continue to prove their love and respect for one another to this very day. Check it out.
