Did Bachelorette JoJo Keep Her "Normal" Job?
For the most part, the "normal" people who viewers grow to love on The Bachelor and The Bachelorette don't stay that way for long. The ones who make it far on the show or become Bachelors or Bachelorettes themselves pretty much became professional reality stars, even if they never go on another show again. Many support themselves with club appearances and sponsored social media posts, so it's weirdly rare for any one who really makes a splash on The Bachelor/ette to return to their pre-reality TV regular person job. And now that JoJo Fletcher is about to start her Bachelorette season, I wonder if JoJo still works in real estate.
First off, JoJo has not had a lot of time to work these days. She went away to film The Bachelor, then she had to endure watching a season where she got her heart broken at the end, and right after that she started filming her own season of The Bachelorette. So, simply because she hasn't had much time to go back to her job, it's a little unclear if she decided to become a professional reality star or if she stuck to real estate.
According to JoJo's biography on the official Bachelorette website,
JoJo found her true passion: real estate development. Five years later, she runs a thriving business of her own, building homes from the ground up and renting to students in the Waco area.
That is a lot more than being a real estate agent. She has her own business, so I doubt that she is going to abandon that just to sell some detox tea on Instagram. Maybe she will end up doing that once The Bachelorette ends, but it would seem a little rash to have already decided to quit a business that she built from the ground up. Plus, listing it in her Bachelorette bio means that it probably still rings rue that real estate is her passion.
It also seems like JoJo can do a lot of her work remotely (well, at least based on some of her Instagram posts), so I could see her keeping up with it during and post-Bachelorette life.
Now that JoJo is about to embark on press for her season of The Bachelorette, she will be doing a million interviews, so maybe we will get an official confirmation that she is still working in real estate, but as of now it does seem to still be true.
