Kim Kardashian Says Rob Will Be "The Best Dad"

by Michelle McGahan

While the whole Rob Kardashian/Blac Chyna debacle was made only more complicated with the announcement that they're not just engaged, they're also expecting, it's safe to say that their baby news was met with a hell of a lot more excitement from the family than their engagement news was. Truth be told, the initial Kardashian-Jenner reaction to Rob and Chyna's engagement was nothing but stone-cold silence (followed by some choice words from Khloe in a KUWTK preview), whereas Chyna's pregnancy announcement immediately garnered likes from her soon-to-be sisters-in-law. Maybe because this makes things more real — and there is now a child involved — but it seems like the Kardashian-Jenners are past the point of just accepting Rob and Chyna as a couple and have moved on to the ~pure excitement~ stage. In fact, Kim Kardashian just declared that Rob is going to be "the best dad," and she may be right.

Speaking to Entertainment Tonight, Kim had nothing but positive things to say about her brother's impending fatherhood.

"I mean, it's so exciting. It's a really exciting time for him," she gushed. "I think he'll be the best dad. He's really just such a good, good person."

Of course, it takes more than just a "good person" to be a good father — but Rob already has those parenting skills down-pat. Particularly as he's taken on the role of stepfather in King Cairo's life (Chyna's three-year-old son with Tyga), and has plenty of experience caring for his nieces and nephews.

One of the most telling signs that Rob is, in fact, going to be "the best dad" is his sweet relationship with King. The two have gone on several exciting outings together, including a trip to Toys R' Us (always the best), Legoland, and even spent this past Easter together, where Kris Jenner put together an Easter basket for Chyna and Tyga's son. And to see Rob and King's stepdad-and-son relationship in action, just watch the sweet Snapchat above, in which Rob pulls King around in a toy car. Talk about tugging on your heartstrings!

While interacting with his own stepson may be the most telltale sign that Rob is going to be an excellent father, let's not discount his role as uncle. Rob has always been there for Kourtney and Kim's kids, and it is beyond clear that he feels an infinite amount of love for his nephews and nieces:

So as #BabyChyro prepares to make his or her debut (it looks like Chyna is due sometime in Fall 2016), it seems like the soon-to-be first-time dad has already got things on lock. Still, there's always room for advice from your big sis — and Kim explained that she and Kanye West have already been giving Rob some pointers.

"We give him — I think more me — gives him advice and it's just been a really fun time," she told ET. "I'm really happy for them."

With the Kardashians in his korner (at last!), it looks like things couldn't get any better for Rob right now. Impending parenthood (and all of those parenting skills he's picked up along the way) is certainly treating him well.
