The All-White Rihanna Puma Creeper Is Different

If you are an avowed sneaker pimp, then you are already eagerly and anxiously awaiting May 26. Then's when the new Rihanna Puma Creepers arrive and become available to shop. The latest drop features three new colors —all-white, all-black, and green with maroon detailing. This generation of kicks is different than earlier versions, as the white and black pairs are monochromatic, instead of having that signature tan/oatmeal sole. But there's another unique quality to the white Rihanna Puma Creeper that separates it from its counterparts that are launching alongside it next week. What's so different?

Well, the brand posted a new promo image of the sneakers faceplanting in the cracked earth on its Instagram feed. Both the sleek black version and the green 'n' red edition are suede. The previous Fenty Creepers were also suede. Upon a closer inspection of this all-white Creeper, you can see that it's not suede. It looks more like a leather material.

Observe the trio of kicks below, paying special attention to the white shoe. As Footwear News noted, the Basket Glo Creeper, aka the white Rihanna Puma Creeper, has a slick, shiny look. That probably makes this particular pair easier to wipe down and keep clean. Because "I like dirty white sneakers," said no one ever.

The material is clearly different than that of its sneaker siblings and its predecessors. So that's yet another reason to try and cop all three of the colorways when they make their much anticipated debut.

That sole silhouette, though! I love looking at this picture and I hope, pray, and wish that I can grab a pair of when these bad boys go on sale. I am gunning to grab two black pairs.

To recap: There are a few differences with the new gen of Creepers. The white Creeper is made of a leather-look material. The all-white and all-black versions don't have that tan sole, either.

OMG, May 26, you need to hurry up and get here. Rihanna and Puma can totally just #TakeMyMoney at that time.
