The Kardashians Might Not Be On Rob & Chyna's Show

by Taylor Ferber

This just in, the most unexpected news you've ever heard: Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna are getting their own show. That's right, the Kardashians's home network E! officially greenlit Rob & Chyna, a six-episode docuseries of one-hour slots which will showcase the "whirlwind romance" of the fastest-moving lovebirds we ever did see. Oh, and we may or may not witness Chyna pushing out a baby in their birth special. (Not like it'd be our first time watching a birth in this family. Thank you, Kourt.)

Here’s what will be going down: The show will document the two as they prep for newlywed life and parenthood while they settle into a new home. Jeff Olde, E!’s EVP of Original Programming & Development, explains why the network sees dollar signs with this new venture: “Very few love stories have created as much pop culture buzz as Rob and Chyna’s, and we are thrilled to see Rob in such a happy place. We are excited to share the next chapter in their relationship.”

I have a feeling, though, that some people out there just aren’t as “excited” as E!’s execs. I'm talking about the networks’ OG klan, the Kardashian family. I am as certain that they won’t appear on the show as I am that Kylie Jenner is reinventing her signature selfie pose as we speak. Here’s why.

1. No One Has Made A Peep About Rob's Engagement

In a family that feeds its empire through social media, the only people among them who posted (and have yet to post) about Rob and Blac's engagement were Rob and Blac. So... that's awkward.

2. ...Or The Fact That He And His Fiancée Are Expecting

Speaking of social media, Mama Jenner and her spawn are the first to cheer each other on via the 'gram, whether it be their business ventures, family love, or just how plain hot they look. On the day of Blac's baby announcement, Kris posted this, highlighting her other adorable grandchildren.

3. They're Busy AF

Like they're going to stop running their empires, taking selfies, and taping for more seasons of KUWTK for this? I don't think so.

4. I Just Don't Think North Will Be Having It

Like she'll allow another Kardashian baby to steal her shine? Absolutely not.

5. The Whole Kylie Situation

Kylie's ex Tyga (Blac's ex and first baby daddy) already appeared on KUWTK. That whole situation couldn't be more awkward, and I'm not sure it's going to be a focus in the new show either.

6. Keeping Up And Its Spin-offs Can't And Won't Be Replaced

As much as I would love to see more of their crazy antics spill over into Rob's time in the spotlight, I think they're good on this front.

Considering they're Rob's family, there's always a chance that we might see glimpses of them, and there will definitely be loads of references to them. However, I don't think the Kardashians will actually appear on the show in the same capacity as they do on the other spinoffs. Not that that's going to stop me from watching.
