Today, Jenner unveiled her new haircut on Snapchat — the result? A relaxed, carefree bob. Start taking notes for your hair stylists now, ladies.
Though Jenner has only teased the world with a carefully-framed Snap, her new 'do is noteworthy in that it might be the shortest hair style the public has witnessed yet — I'm talking about collarbone-grazing tresses here. For years, the KJ look was characterized by sleek straight, medium-length locks — safe, traditional, and what fueled fans to originally Google search "how to get Kendall Jenner hair." Now, everything is about to flip, but for better or for worse?
At this point, change for the Kardashian/Jenner fandom is merely ingrained in the narrative (examples: Kylie Jenner and Tyga's split, Rob Kardashian's engagement to Blac Chyna). Jenner's unexpected hair cut may as well be another chapter in the grand tale of Hollywood's most famed brood. This has me wondering though... what exactly inspired Jenner to suddenly go under the chopping block? A burning desire to reinvent or sibling imitation à la big sis Khloe Kardashian's equally short new lob? Or maybe I'm just overthinking and the reason is simpler: long hair, humidity, and summer months are not compatible after all.
