If you were not yet aware, the mass shooting that took place at the gay nightclub, Pulse, in Orlando, Florida on early Sunday morning has been confirmed as the deadliest mass shooting in the history of the United States. When you take an understandable moment or two to let that horrifying fact sink in, you won't be alone: there are so many other people absolutely devastated over the attack, and who are sharing their horror on social media. The fact that the nation just experienced the worst mass shooting in U.S. history is hitting the public hard, if the talk on Twitter, Instagram and more on Sunday has been any indication.

Some may argue that taking to social media platforms to express your support or outrage is insignificant in the grand scheme of a violent attack, but it does provide a place to let a person's voice to be heard and to express their grief.
