Just like the rest of us, celebrities are celebrating Father's Day by sharing photos on social media. Half the time, the dads mentioned may not actually see the posts, but that doesn't take away from the sincerity of the gesture. Continuing the trend of being the most adorable parents, Teigen posted the sweetest message for Legend from their daughter on Sunday. Unsurprisingly, it's hilarious yet thoughtful. She addressed the caption to "the most perfect man Luna and I could ever ask for" and wrote,
Since the day she was born, you've done every bottle with me, woken up with me to keep me company through every night. You don't mind diapers, get all the best burps, and read her Goodnight Moon like poetry. It makes me so happy to see so much of you in her smile and eyes that completely glow when looking at you. She will never look at anyone - anyone - the way she looks at you.
First of all, I wish I could hear Legend read Goodnight Moon to Luna. It probably sounds as lovely as one of his songs. Second, it's so sweet that she looks at him unlike anyone else. Making the message even better, Teigen joked that thanks to the NBA Final's Game 7 she doesn't have to get her husband a gift, saying it got her out of "having to plan and overthink the day phew." That really does make the day much less stressful.
Another sweet part of the post is that Teigen gives Legend's own dad, Ron, a shoutout. She wrote, "John is the amazing father he is because of you and Phyllis. You created and raised a man we are all so lucky to love." Awww! Credit where credit is due.
Side note: Where do Teigen and Legend get these custom holiday onesies? Do they make them themselves? It looks handwritten, but still neater than if I tried make one myself. Luna rocked a similar one on Mother's Day. She doubles as a fashionista and billboard for important messages. Who needs Hallmark Cards?
Happy Father's Day to Legend and all the other awesome dads out there. From the looks of it, the singer is really nailing this whole fatherhood thing and deserves to celebrate.
