'Bach' Star Jordan Talks Brother Aaron Rodgers

by Lia Beck

As a fan of both The Bachelor/ette and the Green Bay Packers, when I first heard that Jordan Rodgers was cast on JoJo Fletcher's season of The Bachelorette , my only hope was that he would make it to Hometowns thus forcing Aaron Rodgers to appear on the reality dating show and cause worlds to collide in a way I never would have expected. But, as the season has progressed and more information has come out about Jordan and his relationship with his famous older brother, the chances of Aaron appearing on the show dwindled. Jordan wasn't name dropping Aaron all the time or calling him on camera for advice. And the scenario I imagined of JoJo meeting Aaron and Olivia Munn and them all doing Lambeau leaps together slowly faded, with questions about what the heck was going on between these siblings replacing it. Now, Jordan has spoken out about his relationship with Aaron outside of the show, and it only raises more questions — ones that hopefully will be answered during Hometowns.

As Us Weekly points out, Jordan appeared on the Garbage Time podcast on June 23 (the parts about Aaron are around the 51-minute mark in the video below) and said of how close he with Aaron, "You know, we have a relationship. It's complicated. I'll say that." Why is it complicated? Why? Tell us!!

We do know that Munn, Aaron's girlfriend, still seems to be friends with Jordan's very outspoken ex. Could it be possible that this plays a role in Jordan's relationship with his brother? Hopefully, he'll open up more about this, because there's no doubt in my mind that he's going to make it pretty far.

As for what else Jordan had to say about Aaron-related topics, when asked if he's a Packers fan, he said, "Yeah. So, one of my best friends in the world, David Bakhtiari, is [Aaron's] left tackle. I lived with David before the draft, so absolutely." And does Aaron watch the show? "Everybody watches the show, so yeah," he joked, before adding, "I think so, yeah." He did say that he hasn't "gotten any pointers on my kissing or my dating."

Jordan's answers leave things pretty up in the air when it comes to whatever's going on between him and Aaron exactly, but I'm hoping we get answers when Hometowns roll around. Either Aaron will show up and they'll have some sort of dramatic situation where they have to confront their brotherly tension head on (unlikely), or there will be some sort of excuse for Aaron's absence ("Um... Aaron's totally at the Super Bowl right now. Don't worry about it!"), leaving JoJo and Jordan to talk out his relationships with his family members in a more in depth way themselves, because "family is super important" to her. (Family is super important to all Bachelor/ettes. This convo is a comin'.)

While Jordan wasn't clear on what's going on between him and Aaron — and hey, really it could be nothing and they just aren't BFFs — I do think that the suspicious way he talked around the questions about whether he wins are a clear sign that he ends up with JoJo in the end. He tried not to give anything away though, and pulled out reality TV's favorite phrase: "Stay tuned."
