What Are Summer 2016's Most Popular Sunglass Styles? They Vary Across The Country — PHOTOS
If there's one thing you need to buy to complete your summer essentials, it's a trendy pair of sunglasses. I've had so much #sunglassesenvy lately because these days, there are so many different styles of frames and lenses to choose from! If you're wondering where to even begin, here is a good start. The Polyvore team compiled search analytics to determine the most-searched styles of sunglasses and came up with a list of summer 2016's best sunglasses according to state. Trust me, you'll definitely want to have a pair of each of these styles!
From their data, Polyvore found that cat eye sunglasses are the top-searched specs in New York, Florida, and Maryland. In California, Texas, and Alaska, people are searching for round sunglasses. And can you guess the most-searched sunglass trend throughout the country? Mirrored sunglasses and rose gold sunglasses are the It style all over — probably thanks to every rose-colored item that are must-haves for summer (think rosé, sunsets, and rose-colored jewelry).
Rose-colored/pink lenses are so popular right now, that the amount of times "pink sunglasses" has been searched on Polyvore has increased 715 percent since this time last year! For an an even better view of what sunglasses are trending on Polyvore by state, check out this handy-dandy chart:
And here are the top five sunglasses styles you need right now:

Pink sunnies look great with an all-white outfit — so fresh and summery!
3. Cat Eye Sunglasses

Inspired by the infamous Celine cat eye sunglasses, you can rock the trend without spending an entire paycheck.
4. Round Sunglasses
Knock out two trends in one pair with this Quay mirrored, round pair. The leopard print on the metal frame will also add a fun vibe to any outfit.
Channel your inner 1960s style with these round sunglasses that will make your outfit on-point.
5. Acetate Sunglasses
Since acetate is a higher quality plastic made from renewable materials, you won't have to worry about damaging them easily when throwing them in your bag while you're on the go.
With this acetate pair, you can rock the round frame trend at the same time.
Want to know a few more that made the top ten list? Oversized sunglasses, heart-shaped sunglasses, and flat top sunglasses were a few more favorites that people can't stop searching for.
