Paris' Fall Beauty Looks You Can Wear Today

by Erin Mayer

We know that the focal point of Paris Fashion Week is always the extravagant clothing (okay, so this season's focal point just might have been Chanel's supermarket, but you know what we mean). Still, we can't ignore the beauty looks, which are sometimes the easiest way to bring a little runway into our everyday lives. Sure there are always some over-the-top looks that we couldn't imagine wearing to the office. But there has been plenty to draw inspiration from, and as Fall 2014's shows wear on, we can expect our beauty wishlists to get longer and longer.

Since most of us can afford a trip to Sephora more easily than a trip to Lanvin, here are the three beauty looks from Paris Fashion Week Fall 2014 that you should start re-creating at home.

1. Electric Eyeshadow and Low Ponytail at Chanel

Produce wasn't the only thing hip at Chanel's Fall/Winter 2014 presentation. The show had some of the most covetable beauty we've seen so far in Paris. Slicked back low ponytails (we swear the center-part has never been so cool) paired with electric eye makeup was the perfect counterpoint to all that pink. We're especially into the gold and neon green combo Cara is sporting here. Don't be afraid to rock this two-tone eye makeup, but take a page from Chanel's beauty book and leave the lips all natural.

2. Shades of Lilac at Chloé

Unlike in daily life, going bold is the easy route for the runway. So when a makeup artist chooses to give the models a subtle look for a show we sit up and take notice. A soft lilac eye color makes this Chloé model glow, as does the glossy pink shade on her lips. Wear this to create a romantic, 'flushed from too much kissing' vibe.

3. Edie Sedgwick Eyes at Saint Laurent

Saint Laurent's entire collection drew inspiration from '60s icons. The makeup was no exception. These dark lids paired with doll-like eyelashes and pale, pale lips were all over the Saint Laurent runway, calling to mind Edie, Twiggy, and a slew of other Youthquakers. Shown here on model Frances Coombe, this will add instant edge to any outfit.

Spring may be on the way (we hope), but don't let that stop you from wearing these fall beauty looks from Paris!
