Luke Rodgers Roots For Jordan On 'Bachelorette'

by Mallory Carra

On The Bachelorette, it was always made clear that Jordan Rodgers was the younger brother of superstar NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers, but it wasn't well-known just how close Jordan and Aaron were. That is, until the July 11 episode, when Jordan confessed to JoJo Fletcher that he and Aaron don't really speak. But Jordan did say he has a great relationship with his other brother, Luke, and judging by social media, the feeling is mutual — Luke Rodgers is a huge supporter of Jordan on The Bachelorette .

"I have a great relationship with my brother Luke," Jordan told JoJo on The Bachelorette. "Me and Aaron don't have much of a relationship. It's kind of the way he's chosen to do life. I chose to stay close to my family and my brother." Bustle reached out to Luke (via Twitter) and Aaron for comment on their relationships with Jordan and has not yet received a response. Luke is also involved in sports as an NFL Insider with 247 Sports, according to his Twitter bio, and he's also the CEO of ProMerch, a sports merchandise company, according to his LinkedIn profile. According to both Jordan and Luke's social media accounts, the brothers spend a lot of time together: celebrating holidays, working out, and just having fun. The Instagram photos on Luke and Jordan's respective accounts definitely support Jodan's claim to JoJo that he's close with Luke.

And Luke's got Jordan's back when it comes to The Bachelorette. At first glance, Luke's Twitter feed @thelukerodgers contains mostly tweets relating to sports, but during the first few weeks of the show, Luke was live-tweeting The Bachelorette just like the rest of Bachelor Nation — but his tweets were all in support of his brother besting the other contestants and finding love with JoJo. Check out a sample of Luke's tweets below.

Luke even tweeted his support for Jordan when his younger brother was facing some harsh confrontations with the protein-loving Chad Johnson earlier in the season.

It's so great to see Luke sticking up for his younger brother and rooting for him on The Bachelorette from the social media sidelines. Sure, the show isn't football, but as fans know, it's still competitive. And it seems like Luke just wants to see Jordan happy Luke gushes about being just that with girlfriend Lindsay Davis, who was Miss Ohio in 2011, according to Zap2It, so naturally, he'd want to see his younger brother find love as well.

Sadly, Luke hasn't live-tweeted The Bachelorette since June, but since he'll likely appear in Monday night's hometown date, perhaps he'll weigh in on the experience with some 140-character-long thoughts. He's been so supportive of Jordan throughout his run on the show, I'm looking forward to seeing how Luke and the rest of the Rodgers family will interact with JoJo. Will they like each other? Will Luke be simply supportive or play the skeptical sibling who needs some convincing? Will they all play a family game of football? There are so many possibilities.

No matter what happens, though, it looks like Luke and Jordan have a strong family bond.
