11 Feminist Shirts With Empowering Messages
Like many of my millennial counterparts, I grew up in the shadow of the third wave of feminism. What that meant for a young me was a lot of confusion. Sometimes I distanced myself from the word; sometimes I yelled it from the rooftops. Using the form of sassy feminist T-shirts with empowering messages, I proudly wear my feminism on my chest now.
While simply wearing a feminist T-shirt alone doesn’t make you a feminist, it can help you come to terms with your beliefs and what it means to be feminist. Also, consider yourself a walking discussion starter, and discussion is what’s important in getting people to understand feminism instead of recoiling at the very word. You may get some stares when wearing some of the raunchier ones, or maybe even a couple of laughs, but if anyone wants to fight you over your sassy feminist T-shirt, well they’re the exact kind of person who needs to see it.
As I've gotten older, I've come down to this: There's no wrong way to be a woman. No one should be telling you how to live and act because of your gender — not even me. So, though these tees are pretty damn awesome, if you don’t care to wear one, that’s cool with me, girlfriend.

Cats are cute. You know what isn't cute? Creepy adult men calling you "babydoll" and asking you to smile when all you're trying to do is cross the street.

4. Consent is Mandatory
5. Destroy The Patriarchy
When a feminist wakes up in the morning and makes a to-do list, this is the first thing that gets checked off.

My favorite comes in a crop top, and yes, I will be showing those extra inches of skin proudly. Why? Because my body, my rules is why.

Feminists are still fighting for body autonomy, but here's a simple reminder for the members of Congress who don't understand.

Good ol' R.B.G., fighting on our side in the Supreme Court since '93. What would we do without you, Ruth?
10. Girls Just Wanna Have Fundamental Human Rights
What a radical idea, right? It still amazes me that there are people out there who still don't get that.
11. Mind Your Own Uterus
I'd like to think that this cartoon uterus is flipping the bird to people who think women's bodies are something to be voted on. Here's the thing: It's not. There's no vote, just fact. And I think that fact is simple — my uterus, my choice.
