Mandy & Wilmer Prove Exes Really Can Be Friends

If you're a big believer in the impossibility of exes remaining friends, there is one former Hollywood couple who just might make you change your mind. Mandy Moore and Wilmer Valderrama are good friends, which was proven (once again) through a couple of Instagram posts they both shared Wednesday. It may surprise some to hear that these two are so close, but, really, Moore and Valderrama's friendship isn't shocking. Actually, ever since they first started dating in 2001 and ended things in 2002, they've remained tight and haven't held back from letting their followers know about the continued love they both hold for one another.

For example, in Valderrama's most recent Instagram, he poses with the This Is Us actor and writes an extremely touching post about their friendship. It reads as follows:

A Paramount Studios moment.. When one of the most special people just so happens to be shooting her show @nbcthisisus at the same lot you're shooting @ncis_cbs.. Love you Mandela! Ps. Word in the street is she ROCKS the screen on her show!... Can't wait for the world to see the talent you are. Like you said, 16 years and another 16 to go.. And then another 16 after that.. Plus maybe 16 more to add to those last 16.. Ummm let's throw another 16?... After all those?

If that doesn't convince you of their BFF-status, then read what Moore shared about the former That '70s Show star.

Sometimes you get to work on the same lot as your friends and you can run over, catch up and watch them continue to be a bad-ass (in real life and on TV). Love this guy. Friends for over 16 years. Congrats on @ncis.cbs,@wilmervalderrama! Can't wait to watch you this Fall!!

See? I just adore how much they cherish one another and support each other's careers. This is what real friendship looks like. Despite their split and those 2006 comments he made about taking Moore's virginity while on Howard Stern's radio show, they are still as close as ever. During the interview, Valderrama said, "The sex with Mandy was good, but it wasn't like warm apple pie." She responded to his comment in a May 2006 chat with Elle and said his words were "utterly tacky, not even true and it hurt my feelings because I like him."

In October 2006, Valderrama opened up about his remarks with the Los Angeles Times and explained,

This is what I have to say about the Howard Stern thing. When you go on Howard you are in his home. And I allowed myself to be very playful about a lot of subjects and topics. Eventually such topics were paired up with certain names.... Obviously, we know the media loves to get a little confirmation of a story line, and that is all they needed and they ran with it. I don't really have a real opinion about it anymore. I am so past it already.

Clearly, Moore is also past it based on the fact that their friendship is still intact. Further proof of that is that the two met up in October 2015 and the Tangled star gushed once again about Valderrama. Alongside a cute snapshot of them, she wrote, "Also, I've know this goof (aka @wilmervalderrama) since I was 15! And @rp1313 has been my bff for nearly 12 years.... So many indelible memories and stories with these 2. Always fun to catch up with an #HHN run."

Moore's "HHN" mention refers to Universal Studios' Halloween Horror Nights, which they both enjoyed in 2015. As the NCIS star also shared on Instagram, "A night of terror and turkey legs.. And the dude with the plastic knife. Great night with Great friends. #UniversalHHN"

Yeah, Moore and Valderrama's friendship is real, and I can't get enough of it.
