All Of The Fashionable Celeb Cameos In 'Ab Fab'

by KT Hawbaker

Fans of the British TV show Absolutely Fabulous have come to expect flashy outfits and booze-fueled antics, and the new film looks like it won't disappoint in that regard whatsoever. A quick refresher on the plot: Edina and Patsy believe that they have killed Kate Moss after accidentally pushing her into the Thames during a garish party for an artist. The duo go on the run and get into all sorts of messes while courting the elite, and they also run into plenty of stars. As for how many celeb cameos there are in Absolutely Fabulous ? Well, believe it or not, but there are a whopping 60 famous faces in the new movie. The film certainly lives up to its title by pulling in some of the biggest names in fashion.

Because the show began 24 years ago, AbFab needed a bit of an update in the style department when getting these stars together. "I think fashion has really exploded in London, and it’s so innovative that I really did want to try and celebrate everything that was British," the movie's stylist, Rebecca Hale, told The New York Times . "Obviously, if I found something that was from a another designer I couldn’t not use it. But first and foremost, I approached British designers to see if they would collaborate with us on the project." Absolutely Fabulous managed to up its style game by featuring celebrity cameos from fashion and design, including some major icons from the '90s. Check out 10 of the biggest cameos below:

1. Kate Moss

Yep, the Kate Moss actually makes a splash in the new movie. Here's hoping her acting chops are sharp.

2. Alexa Chung

The model and journalist makes her big screen debut, and you can assume she will rock some serious style — she is a contributing editor at British Vogue, after all.

3. Dame Edna

TBH, I am most excited for this cameo and will struggle forever to get my hair that shade of lavender.

4. Chris Colfer

His costumes from Glee were all game changers, but this movie should give Colfer a chance to turn the volume up even higher on his loud ensembles — sounds like music to my ears.

5. Jean Paul Gaultier

This major French designer is one of the most well-known names in couture and can now add bonafide movie star to his CV.

6. Jerry Hall

While she most recently grabbed headlines for her wedding to Rupert Murdoch, Hall had the coolest roommate situation ever when she lived in Paris back in the '70s with Grace Jones and Jessica Lange. “Jerry was tall and fresh-faced, and had all this long blond hair, and I was dark, severe, wore my warm military clothes, and had very little hair,” Jones wrote in her book I'll Never Write My Memoirs. Talk about #squadgoals.

7. Joan Collins

The 83-year-old Dynasty star and writer has yet to age, remaining a timeless emblem of sophistication.

8. Poppy Delevingne

The English model and socialite received attention last year when she threw a tantrum at British Fashion Week after a bouncer refused her entry to the VIP section. Here's hoping for some more diva behavior in the film.

9. Emma "Baby Spice" Bunton

10. Stella McCartney

The vegetarian designer incites violence in the film by throwing a brick through someone's window. Sweet.

It looks like audiences should get their best pieces together for this one.
