Snapchat lovers, rejoice! There's a new feature for you to enjoy on your favorite social media platform: Geostickers. But since these digital stickers are location specific, many are asking exactly where can you use Snapchat Geostickers. And when I say location specific, I mean really location specific — to the point that they're only available if you're actually in one of the select few cities they've been deployed. And yes, according to Snapchat's blog, you need to have your Location Services turned "on" in order to access the new Geostickers.
According to The Next Web, you can use Geostickers in the same you would any other Snapchat stickers. For example, you can resize them, move them around your screen, and either send them in chats or use them in your standard Snaps. Personally, I'm pretty excited to see all of the new Geostickers; I'm also keeping an eye out on whether or not they'll be released in more locations over time, because it seems kind of unfair that not everyone gets to experience their magnificence.
Which brings us back to our original question: Where do you have to be in order to access Geostickers? Right now, they've been released in 10 cities around the world; five of them are in the United States, and five are global. Check out the full list of locations below:
1. Los Angeles, Calif.
If you're lucky enough to be in Los Angeles, don't forget to check out the awesome Snapchat Geostickers for your city. You know, between all of the celebrity spotting I'm sure you'll be doing.
2. New York, NY
Ah, New York City. Aside from Times Square, what screams "New York" more than the now infamous Pizza Rat?
3. San Francisco, Calif.
If you're spending an afternoon enjoying the ocean breeze in San Francsico, be sure to send a Snap to your friends so they too can admire the coastal view — and throw in a few Geostickers, too, of course.
4. Washington, DC
Already missing the cherry blossoms, Washingtonians? Fear not, because now you can immortalize their beauty, thanks to the new Snapchat geostickers.
5. Honolulu, HI
If you happen to be enjoying a lovely, relaxing day in Honolulu, don't forget to send the rest of the world a few Snaps of paradise. Be sure to include some of Honolulu's location-specific Geostickers while you're at it.
6. London, UK
We all know that if you're in London, you're likely going to snap a few pictures of Big Ben anyway, so why not send out some Snaps to your friends?
7. Sydney, Australia
Who hasn't dreamed about going to Australia? If you're lucky enough to visit (or hey, even live there), do us all a favor and remember to send us some Snaps of the scenery — bonus points if you can include a koala.
8. São Paulo, Brazil
If you find yourself in São Paulo, Brazil, make sure you not only explore the incredible and diverse culture, but also remember to take some pictures! Share the love — and the awesome new Snapchat Geostickers, while you're at it.
