Kat Von D x Too Faced Is Better Than You Imagined

by Amy Sciarretto

It's official, you guys. Kat Von D Beauty and Too Faced Cosmetics are really testing the limits of my usually thin patience, in the best way. The brands have teamed up for their limited edition, Sephora-exclusive Better Together collaboration, mashing up their products and unique aesthetics in a one-of-a-kind collection that I cannot wait to get my gel manicured mitts on! The Kat Von D x Too Faced collection won't be in stores until Dec. 26. So, yeah, that's basically an eternity from now.

Both brands and their founders have been parsing out details, photos, and teases of what's to come and I am biting my knuckles in excitement and anticipation! Too Faced's Jerrod Blandino posted another slaytastic photo of the collab on his personal Instagram. The heart-shaped, magnetic eyeshadow palette, which splits into two halves and is the centerpiece of the collection so far, is there. But so are other items and a double-sided, coin purse-like, heart-shaped, top-zip makeup bag featuring Blandino's dog Clover on one side and Kat's hairless feline Piaf on the other.

So, is this the full Kat Von D x Too Faced collection? Or are more Kat Von D x Too Faced items coming? The photo below looks to be it, since Von D and Blandino further detailed the collection for Allure. However, they could have a surprise up their sleeves, since you never, ever know when it comes to makeup mashups. Either option — this being it or something being held back— is equally good.

OMG, the bag! See the Too Faced blush and the minis of the Kat Von D Studded Kiss lipstick and the Everlasting Liquid Lipstick, too? We already knew that the palette, the full-sized KVD Tattoo Liner, and the full-sized Too Faced Better Than Sex mascara would be part of this collabo. But about the bag and the minis?

Allure reports that the The Cheek & Lip Makeup Bag will contain mini versions of each brand's signature items in new shades, save for the Too Faced Candlelight Glow Highlighting Powder in Rosy Glow, which already exists. The newbies are Too Faced Love Flush Blush in So Happy Together, a Kat Von D Everlasting liquid lippie in XO, and a Studded Kiss in Muse.

I so heart this palette. I have to pose this question to Kat Von D and Blandino. Call it an open letter, if you will. How am I supposed wait until the day after Christmas for this collection? How do you expect me to get through this three-and-a-half month period? It's going to be agonizing. Worth it, but agonizing!

It's pretty much perfect.

I love how this collab seriously unites, rather than divides. It's a beautiful thing.
