As you know, Sunday was the 2016 MTV Video Music Awards. Like it goes with every awards show, a lot of preparation is involved to ensure those in attendance look and feel their best. Sometimes stars go above and beyond to make sure their process of getting ready is just as stellar as their time spent on the red carpet and at the show itself. For example, Chrissy Teigen and John Legend helped Aly Raisman get ready for the VMAs. Can you imagine getting ready with one of the most adorable celebrity couples ever? The Olympic gymnast is truly lucky and the photos of them all getting ready together will make you seriously jealous.
Despite Legend and Teigen not attending the VMAs themselves, they took the time to help Raisman and her brother Brett Raisman prepare. She went to the MTV event with three of her other fellow "Final Five" gymnasts, including Laurie Hernandez, Simone Biles, and Madison Kocian. I have a feeling Legend and Teigen, along with their daughter (who is the cutest baby in the entire world) Luna, showing up at her hotel room to lend a helping hand made her night even more memorable.
Alongside a photo of Legend assisting Raisman's brother with his tie and Raisman holding Luna, she tweeted, "Thanks for helping us get ready!! @johnlegend @chrissyteigen and baby Luna!!" Teigen responded, "You guys did such a good job and now your brother can tie a tie maybe kinda sorta!"
How and why they helped the professional gymnast get ready is probably because of that one time Teigen reached out to Raisman on Twitter. On Aug. 25 she tweeted the 22-year-old athlete, "I don't want to seem forward but I feel like we would be friends please? We love you!" Then, Raisman responded with a lot of enthusiasm saying, "OMG YES. I love u and ur husband. Can we please be best friends & can I send ur daughter some of my leotards?" Teigen quipped back, "There is no way that between John and I she has any coordination whatsoever but YES!"
Well, they are officially friends. Here's hoping Luna starts sporting some fashionable leotards thanks to Raisman. Teigen also took to Snapchat to brag about their new friendship. I mean, does it get any cuter than Raisman with Luna?
Then, this group shot is probably something Legend, Teigen, and Raisman will have framed to remember that time they all chilled before the VMAs.
Leave it to Legend and Teigen to steal the VMAs limelight and not even be at the actual awards show to do so.
