How To Be JoJo & Jordan For Halloween
With Halloween just around the spooky, candy corn-coated corner, it's not a bad time to start mapping out what you will wear on All Hallow’s Eve. Sure, you could wait until the Thursday before the big holiday before you swing by your local Spirit shoppe, but why put yourself through the stress of rummaging through picked over Halloween sections at the last minute? Why settle for a ‘stume you only sort of don’t hate simply because it was all that was left? Why not begin assembling a ‘stume that is in it for the right reasons right now? If you a) are looking for a couple/friend/duo costume and b) love all things reality television, here’s an idea that might be up your alley: Dress up like the latest pair of people to leave The Bachelorette betrothed. Yes, I am suggesting a JoJo Fletcher and Jordan Rodgers Halloween costume.
What does a JoJo and Jordan couples costume entail, exactly? (You know, besides being a couples costume that is in it for the right reasons, a couples costume that isn't here to make friends, and a couples costume that believes in the process.) I am so glad you asked.
Without further ado, here are some JoJo and Jordan Halloween costumes that deserve a rose.
Their Very First Bachelor/Bachelorette Episodes
For JoJo:
Want to recreate JoJo’s first The Bachelor look ever? Wear a unicorn mask and a red dress just like she did when she met Ben Higgins.
Plus-Size Two-Strap Dress, $24.90, Forever 21
Unicorn Mask, $29.99, Halloween Express
If wearing a latex unicorn head over your face all night isn’t your bag, just toss on a unicorn onesie and a “Hello My Name is JoJo” name tag.
Xhilaration Unicorn Union Suit Pajamas, $27.99, Target
For Jordan:
As you may recall, fellow Bachelor fan, JoJo gave Jordan the First Impression Rose on their first episode of The Bachelorette together. How does one turn this moment into a costume? One could always wear a suit like Jordan wore on that first night, or one could pay homage to the First Impression Rose that started it all with a rose print button-down.
Empyre Buds Rose Button Up Shirt, $34.95, Zumiez
Not feeling that look? Use iron-on letters and a plain T-shirt to make a “I Make A Rose-worthy First Impression” tee. Add a prank rose to your shirt and let the mayhem begin.
Trick Squirt Flower, $2.99, Prank Place
Their Proposal
For JoJo:
Wear a sparkly gown, a sparkly sash, and a sparkly ring. If you’re up for an arts and crafts session, hot glue rhinestones all over the bodice of the dress.
Contemporary Crochet Maxi Dress, $29.90, Forever 21
ASOS Curve Bridal Button Ruffle Maxi Dress With Cold Shoulder, $193.48, ASOS
Cubic Zirconia 3 Stone Ring, $16.50, Claire's
Tevolio Organza Bridal Sash with Pearl and Bead Floral Detail, $24.99, Target
For Jordan:
Do whatever you want with the shirt and tie, but a blue suit is crucial.
Blazer Skinny Fit, $69.99/Suit Pants Skinny Fit, $34.99, H&M
Basic Blazer, $199/Basic Trousers, $59.90, Zara
Their Casual Looks
For JoJo:
JoJo loves a good romper. A floral romper plus some beachy waves? You’ll be ready for whatever plans this week’s date card has in store for you.
Plus Size Floral Chiffon Romper, $19.90, Forever 21
JoJo also loves a good pair of white shorts. Wear these with a bodysuit/crop top/denim blouse/chunky knit sweater, throw on some cowboy boots, and tell someone they have to trust the journey.
Distressed Boyfriend Cutoffs, $19.90, Forever 21
For Jordan:
Want to go with one of Jordan’s more chill looks? Get a basic tee, some jeans, and a pair of Converse sneaks. Easy enough.
Converse Chuck Taylor All Star Low Top, $50, Converse
Oh, and do not forget a gorgeous, well-coiffed, voluminous wig. (Actually, you should probably add this wig to every Jordan costume.)
Vampire Wig, $16.99, Halloween Express
Their “Disguises”
This one’s a bit of a deep cut; a costume for only the most devoted of devoted Bachelor fans. This couples costume is based on a photo Jordan took before he and JoJo were allowed to go public with their engagement, so you'd be wearing a costume of a costume.
For JoJo:
Throw on a curly blonde wig, a princess hat, and a faux fur coat, and bam— you’re Goldie.
Want to make your very own princess hat? Check out the tutorial above.
Blonde Mermaid Wig, $26.99, Party City
Vero Moda Faux Fur Jacket, $56, ASOS
For Jordan:
Throw on a batting helmet, a curly black wig, and an old school windbreaker, and bam— you’re Ricky.
Cleveland Indians Mini Batting Helmet, $17.96, Walmart
Girls' Night Out Curly Black Wig, $14.99, Party City
Vintage Paisley Windbreaker, $32, Low Fructose/Etsy
And if all else fails, just throw on that showstopper of a blue mermaid gown that's in your closet (everyone has one, duh; the BMG is the new LBD) and call it a day.
