Is Jenna Johnson Single? The 'Dancing With The Stars' Pro Seems Focused On One Thing Right Now

During every season of Dancing With The Stars, viewers (and producers, probably) always focus on one dancing couple that they think has chemistry. Dancing with a person for 40 hours a week really brings you closer, and I’m sure that with all that physicality, some things can happen (look at Robert Herjavec and Kym Johnson — they just got married!). This season’s pairing seemed like it could be Jake T. Austin and Jenna Johnson, but Austin has a girlfriend, so that showmance is dead un the water. Is Dancing With The Stars pro Jenna Johnson single, or does she have a partner off the dance floor too?

A So You Think You Can Dance finalist and all-star, this is Johnson's first season as a partner on Dancing With The Stars. It’s the big time! She clearly loves being partners with Austin, but they are definitely not dating. According to E! News, it was rumored in February that Johnson was dating longtime DWTS staple Val Chmerkovskiy after the duo was spotted hanging out. According to E! News, an anonymous source denied the pair was dating, saying, "The pros are in rehearsal now—he's a pro, she's in the troupe. In their free time, people sometimes hang out. They had a friendly lunch. That's all ... He's single. He doesn't have a girlfriend ... There's no special woman in Val's life other than his mom." ABC did not comment.

If they are just friends, though, I can understand that. Both Chmerkovskiy and Johnson have a big competition ahead of them. Chmerkovskiy is partnered with gold-medal-winning gymnast Laurie Hernandez, and she is pretty much the favorite (in my opinion, anyway) to win Dancing With The Stars Season 23. Johnson also needs to keep her head in the game with partner Austin.

From a look at her social media, Johnson looks too busy to have a beau, anyway. Here’s what she has been up to leading up to this season of Dancing With The Stars.

Johnson was a finalist back on the show in Season 10, but she came back as an all-star to partner up with So You Think You Can Dance: Next Generation star Jake Monreal. Isn’t he quite the dancer for such a young kid? Monreal made it into the Top 10, but not quite to the end. I have to think that his samba with Johnson pushed him pretty far, though.

Dancing With The Stars: Live!

Part of being on Dancing With The Stars (especially when you're in the troupe) is going on tour when the season wraps. Jenna had plenty of snaps on her Instagram with her tour mates, and they're all the familiar faces — Lindsay Arnold, Peta Murgatroyd, Hayes Grier, and more.

Her frequent selfies with Austin prove that she is dedicated to making their team well-known in the DWTS voting community.

A dancer of Johnson's caliber has to stay in tip-top shape — she is on the floor for so many hours a day. Personally, I would just say that's dancing cardio and call it a day, but she is a professional and a dedicated performer. Even if she doesn't want to go to the gym, she does it.

It doesn't seem as though Johnson has a boyfriend, but that's OK! She has her sights on that Mirror Ball trophy, and she's not letting go.
