Colton Haynes Returns To TV On 'Scream Queens'

by Alaina Urquhart-White

While FOX's Scream Queens is not exactly an anthology series like Ryan Murphy's other show, American Horror Story, it will be switching up the location with each succeeding season. This time around, the Chanels have hit hard times and are being given a chance to dig themselves out by Dean Munsch, who now owns a hospital. That's right, the Chanels are going to be in charge of the well-being of actual humans. Luckily, the hospital setting lends itself well to a lot of special appearances by some pretty well known guest stars who can pop in as doctors, nurses, and patients. The episode airing on Sept. 27 will take advantage of this opportunity by featuring Colton Haynes on Scream Queens as Tyler, a new patient.

We don't know a lot about Tyler, because Haynes has been keeping his character completely under wraps since his guest appearance was announced. His IMDB page only lists him as appearing in one episode, so it's possible that he could find himself on the wrong end of this season's serial killer. We do know that his episode is titled "Warts and All," which seems appropriate and possibly directly related to Tyler, as the episode description reads, "A patient with a horrible ailment checks into the hospital with hopes of a cure, but instead finds a love interest." For more intel about Haynes' potential Scream Queens storyline, check out the "Warts and All" promo below.

And though Tyler is a bit of a question mark, Haynes definitely isn't. Here's everything you should know about the actor before he appears on Scream Queens this Tuesday night.

He Picks The Right Roles

You may already be familiar with Haynes, as he's appeared on a bunch of hit teen shows. He previously starred on Teen Wolf as Jackson Whittemore, before joining Arrow as Roy Harper, aka Arsenal. Unfortunately for fans of the character, Haynes left the series in its third season, so Scream Queens is his very welcome return to TV.

He's Overcome A Lot

Haynes graced the cover of the August issue of Out Magazine and in his interview, said that his father committed suicide and that he was told it was his fault. “But I was told that my dad killed himself because he found out I was gay. So, of course, I lost it and was like, ‘How could you say something like that?’ And no one will ever really know the truth," he told the magazine. The article also details his tumultuous path to Hollywood, as he details leaving home, moving from place to place, and the struggles he endured at the early stages of his career.

He Sells Awesome Clothes Too

As if Haynes didn't already have enough things going for him, he has to go and add fashion to his repertoire. He recently launched ColtonHaynes.com, which offers a limited edition collection of original designs, clothing, and accessories for his fans. In the video announcing the new products, he also mentioned that he'll have a brand launching at the end of the year, so this won't be the last time he impresses fans off-screen.

I don't know about you but I am psyched to see Haynes portray a patient on Scream Queens. I hope we'll get to see him in more than one episode, but even if it's a short stint, I'm sure he'll make Tyler memorable.
