Going to Miss 'Girls'? No Problem.

by Aly Semigran

Sunday night really is the cruelest night of the week, isn't it? It's bad enough it's got that dreadful, "Oh no, I have to go back work/school/the real world tomorrow" feeling lingering over it, but over the past few years, it's become jam-packed with appointment television. Since you are only but one person, and you can only have but so many televisions with so many DVR options, you're bound to miss some things. Like the Season 3 finale of Girls, which airs 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 23 on HBO. But what if you don't have HBO? Well, We're here to tell you how you can watch the Girls finale.

And you'll want to watch. Barring some uncharacteristically saccharine sweet Season 2 ending, it looks like things might be on the outs for Hannah and Adam again. In other words, it's a can't-miss episode in a season that was otherwise filled with some pretty forgettable ones. Now, whether you're too tied up with other Sunday night programming, or you're going to be out of town, or any number of things that could prevent you from watching the finale live, rest easy: You've got some alternatives.

HBO Go

Unless Hannah Horvath and her cohorts reveal some of the unsolved mysteries from Season 1 of True Detective, it's highly unlikely the streaming service will crash like it did a few weeks ago. HBO Go, which comes free with your HBO subscription (or, more likely, your friends or parents' subscription), makes new episodes available immediately after they've aired. Cable provider Time Warner Cable explains on their site, "New programming is generally available immediately following its TV premiere. For example, if a new episode of True Blood premieres on TV at 9:00 PM on Sunday evening, the same episode is generally available on HBO GO at 10:05 PM on Sunday evening." So, there you have it: the Season 3 finale of Girls should be ready by 10:35 p.m. on HBO Go. Just don't all you moochers go breaking it on us again.

On Demand

Depending on your cable provider (be it TWC, Verizon, Comcast, DirecTV, etc.), Girls should be available to watch On Demand within the 24 hours after the episode has aired. In the words of Shoshanna, "Oh em effing gee."
