More Ways to Dress Like Kate Middleton

by Tyler Atwood

If you love Kate Middleton's preppy, classic style, you live Stateside, and have some cash to burn, heads up: British brand Hobbs is now extending its royalty-favored designs to Bloomingdale's. Bloomingdale's store-in-store concept offers a coveted, personalized space for each designer to present their wares, and Hobbs will join Theory, Comptoir des Cotonniers, and other notable brands in their expansion to the department store.

The Duchess of Cambridge has worn their elegant ensembles to a number of royal engagements, including an adorable checkered dress for the debut of the Coach Core program, a chic maternity shift to christen the Royal Princess in Southampton, and a gorgeous emerald coat to the 2014 St. Patrick's Day Irish Guards ceremony. Even Pippa is a patron of the brand, typically snapping up classic shift dresses in jewel tones for her own collection.

The Hobbs label focuses on workwear essentials with a twist, chic and easy shift dresses, and cocktail hour styles that favor elegance over exhibitionism. Middleton favors the brand's understated aesthetic and timeless pieces, but even more ostentatious fashionistas will find items to love. The line juxtaposes simple silhouettes with vibrant colors and patterns, and feminine styles with unexpected, edgy accents, making it a perfect company for both traditional and outlandish dressers.

We may not have access to the royal family's vast collection of jeweled accessories, but with Hobbs on US soil, at least we can dress like them.
