Is Lady Gaga's New Tattoo Real? The Signature Is Here To Stay For A Powerful Reason
Celebrities have been getting tattooed a lot lately. There's been everything from Bella Thorne's faux back wings to Taylor Swift's tattoo choker, and now another star is getting in on the fun. According to her social media, Lady Gaga got a new tattoo. If you're wondering if the singer's new tattoo is real, all signs point to yes. It might be sort and sweet, but the powerful message looks like it's here to stay.
Tons of celebrities have been getting fake tattoos recently, but this new celebrity inking seems like it is here to stay. Gaga took to Snapchat to show herself getting tattooed with her dad, and the singer got the name "Joanne" inked on the inside of her arm. Why? Well, there are a few big reasons.
According to Teen Vogue, Joanne is the name of Gaga's late aunt, who died at the age of 19 from lupus. The singer also suffers from the same disease. Joanne also happens to be the name of her latest album, which is a tribute to her aunt, according to Self. Gaga actually was playing the song by the same name in the background of her Snapchat videos. This is far from Gaga's first tattoo, so there's no doubt in my mind that it's here to stay.
The tattoo was of her aunt's signature, according to her Instagram post. Her dad appears to have gotten the same signature as well as an angel on his shoulder.
Gaga posted a close-up of her new design as well. It's clear to see that this tattoo is very important to her.
Simple, sweet, and totally meaningful.
