Katy Reignites The Taylor Feud At Kanye's Concert

by Michelle McGahan

In what seems like a pointed snub at Taylor Swift, Katy Perry danced to Kanye West's "Famous" — specifically, the infamous line in which the rapper states, "I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, why? / I made that b*tch famous" — at Yeezy's L.A. tour stop this week. The "Rise" singer shared the selfie video on her Instagram story, making silly faces at the camera and zooming in to her face as Yeezy raps the lyrics. While Perry's feud with Swift is obviously far from over, Perry is obviously #TeamYeezy here. Bustle reached out to Perry's rep for comment on her video, but has not yet received a response.

Of course, it's pretty much impossible to forget the moment that Kim Kardashian brought the receipts about that "Famous" phone call — the one in which Swift seemed to approve the lyric about sex; she claims she did not approve the "I made that b*tch famous" line — so it's safe to say that Perry dancing to that specific verse is shady enough in itself. But when you put that in context of the long, ongoing Perry/Swift feud, it's obvious that Perry just scored an A in How to Throw Shade 101. The subtle dig is really not so subtle.

While it's obvious that there is still ~bad blood~ between the two pop stars (c'mon, I had to), this is just the singer's latest jab at Swift, who is said to have penned the above song reference (that would be "Bad Blood") about Perry.

Remember when Calvin Harris savagely went after Swift on Twitter over the summer and straight-up exposed her feud with Perry? (In a since-deleted tweet, the Scottish DJ wrote: "I know you're off tour and you need someone new to try and bury like Katy ETC but I'm not that guy, sorry. I won't allow it.") Lest we forget that iconic retweet from Perry seemingly in response — "Time, the ultimate truth teller," it read — which will probably go down in history under the definition of "shade."

Of course, there's an entire backstory of why exactly it is that Swift and Perry are fighting (which you can read about here), but it's clear that this years-long feud isn't going to go away any time soon. Particularly not when Perry posts a video of herself pointedly boppin' to "Famous."
