Carrie Fisher Makes A Major 'Star Wars' Claim

Here is some surprising news that just might shock Princess Leia and Han Solo shippers. In an interview with People, Carrie Fisher claims she had an affair with Harrison Ford in 1976 while they were filming the first Star Wars film. At the time of the alleged three-month affair, Fisher was 19 and Ford was 33. If true, he would have also been married to his first wife, Mary Marquardt, and a father of two at the time. Bustle has reached out to Harrison's rep for comment, but did not receive an immediate response.

"It was so intense," Fisher told People. "It was Han and Leia during the week, and Carrie and Harrison during the weekend." It's been four decades since their reported tryst, which is why the now 60-year-old actor decided to open up about it to both People and in her new book, The Princess Diarist. "It’s been 40 years," she told People. According to the outlet, Ford "had a heads-up about the book from Fisher and received a draft."

"I looked over at Harrison," Fisher writes (via People) about their alleged first night together after a birthday party for Star Wars director George Lucas. "A hero’s face — a few strands of hair fell over his noble, slightly furrowed brow. How could you ask such a shining specimen of a man to be satisfied with the likes of me?"

She also told People, "I was so inexperienced, but I trusted something about him. He was kind." Apparently, her alleged romance with Ford wasn't anything Fisher expected and it came to an end once the original Star Wars wrapped.
