What's This 'Charmed' Alum Up To These Days?

by Christine DiStasio

ABC's Once Upon A Time has been doing a lot of flashing back to Regina and Zelena's childhoods to try to figure out why they can't just get along. On Sunday night's episode, Regina's going to call up the worst mother in all of the realms — her own mother, Cora — to get some answers. And viewers are going to get treated to a familiar face they probably haven't seen in awhile — Rose McGowan will be reprising her role as young Cora on OUAT . So get ready for some more evil, OUAT fans.

So what's McGowan been up to since she left one witchy role behind when Charmed ended and picked up another on the ABC fairytale series? Quite a lot, actually. The star has appeared in a handful of films and guest-starred on popular television shows and there was that time she was engaged to Marilyn Manson. You also probably remember catching a glimpse of her famous derrière in that shamelessly risqué dress she wore to the MTV VMAs in 1998. More or less, you've seen a lot of Rose McGowan — including on OUAT earlier this season. So what has the former-Charmed actress been up to recently?

She Went To Coachella

McGowan, like every other celebrity you follow on social media, trekked out to Indio to catch Coachella over the weekend. On Apr. 12 she posted this photo of who we assume to be her friends at the festival — so apparently she's totally into Instagram as well and #nofilter.

She's Starring In A Crackle Series With Lucas Scott & Jess Mariano

We mean Chad Michael Murray And Milo Ventimiglia, of course. McGowan starred alongside these two former teen-dreamboats in the original dramatic thriller for online streaming service Crackle. The series follows Ventimiglia's character as he goes from an ordinary lawyer and family man to an assassin when he finds a box with a gun and a photo of a stranger he must kill in three days on his doorstep. McGowan plays Josie, an experienced hunter living in the suburbs with her children, while attempting to shield them from the violence that surrounds her life.

She Got Married

In Oct. 2013, McGowan married artist Davey Detail after getting engaged in July. The pair had a "romantic and ethereal" ceremony where they exchanged vows in front of only 60 guests.

She Starred In An Edgar Allen Poe Film

McGowan is starring in a film adaptation of Poe's famous short story "The Tell-Tale Heart" that due out this year. The actress is playing Ariel alongside Peter Bogdanovich (The Sopranos) in the film about a man that repeatedly admits himself to a halfway house in an attempt to escape a vicious cycle of insanity.

She's A Boston Terrier Advocate

She Keeps A Stellar Instagram
