Oliva Palermo's Advice to Fellow Brides-to-Be

While the rest of the world has been busy fussing over what Kim Kardashian will be wearing for her (third) wedding, one weddings-centric magazine decided to put the spotlight on another gorgeous missus-to-be. Twenty-eight-year-old Olivia Palermo graced the cover of the the Brides 2014 June/July issue, dressed in a gorgeous strapless gown.

In addition to modeling ultra-chic designer gowns for the magazine, the actress and socialite also dished some shopping tips to her fellow brides. When it comes to finding inspiration for the dress, Palermo says, "Check out the Marchesa, Oscar de la Renta or Carolina Herrera shows online."

If you can't afford to buy one of their high-end gowns, that shouldn't stop you from making yours unique and special. "Even if your dream dress comes right off the rack, add your own touch. Play with color. It's all about the styling!"

Palermo did not say what or who she'll be wearing to her own wedding, but we can expect something more exciting than just the traditional white dress. "I always like to incorporate pops of color."

Palermo and her handsome model fiance Johaness Huebl were engaged on New Year's eve during a romantic trip to St. Barts, of course. And while some people may roll their eyes at the unbelievably handsome and stylish couple, they seem to have a very mature and loving outlook on their relationship. In an interview with ELLE, Huebl said, "I think we have a very conservative, old romantic, private approach to our love." Palermo added, "I think that we grow together. I think that I'm constantly learning, and we're both eager to learn about not only each other, but our interests."

Their love is REAL, y'all.
