Anthony Weiner Cops to New Sexual Allegations

by Lane Florsheim

UPDATE: New York City mayoral candidate Anthony Weiner held a press conference and admitted to new sexual allegations Tuesday night, but added that he will not be withdrawing from the race.

The press conference was held after an Arizona-based gossip and nudies website called 'The Dirty' broke the exclusive story called "Anthony Weiner Hasn't Changed Poor Huma Abedin, New Image Of His Penis" Tuesday.

The Dirty writer Nik Richie details the account of a "young female girl" who Anthony Weiner allegedly lured post-scandal via Facebook. The two reportedly had a six-month relationship consisting of (you're going to want to sit down for this earth-shattering surprise) sending sexually explicit photos, and having sexual phone conversations. The girl, referred to as Anonymous, says she believed they were in love.

Here's what actually is a bit of a shocker: Anonymous says Weiner used the name "Carlos Danger" when he emailed photos of his penis via Yahoo. We're not sure what's more incriminating: the absurd pseudonym, or the fact that Anthony Weiner might use Yahoo Mail.

According to Anonymous, Weiner offered her the opportunity to be featured on a Politico panel, as well as a condominium in Chicago where they could meet up and have sex.

The Dirty has since published a very explicit sample of the exchanges. According to the Anonymous woman, "This was a bad situation for me, because I really admired him. Even post-scandal, I thought he was misunderstood. Until I got to know him. I thought I loved him. Pretty pathetic."

Weiner responded to the accusations Tuesday with a statement acknowledging at least some of them are true.

I said that other texts and photos were likely to come out, and today they have. As I have said in the past, these things that I did were wrong and hurtful to my wife and caused us to go through challenges in our marriage that extended past my resignation from Congress. While some things that have been posted today are true and some are not, there is no question that what I did was wrong. This behavior is behind me. I've apologized to Huma and am grateful that she has worked through these issues with me and for her forgiveness. I want to again say that I am very sorry to anyone who was on the receiving end of these messages and the disruption that this has caused. As my wife and I have said, we are focused on moving forward.
