"Get Out!!!" -The Hamptons

by Lia Beck

The Kardashians have taken their fair share of cities on their various reality shows. There was Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take Miami, Kourtney and Kim Take New York, and Kimye and North Take Paris, the latter of which exists only in Kim Kardashian's mind, but it counts because I'm pretty sure she imagines her interview responses to everything in her head. Recently, two of the sisters announced their plans to sack another American locale, but have run into some problems. Kourtney and Khloe Kardashian aren't wanted in the Hamptons, but unfortunately, that's exactly where they want to film their new spin-off.

Kourtney and Khloe Take the Hamptons is set to film this summer, but locals aren't so excited about the prospect. According to a source who spoke with Page Six,

They have been looking at property on Little Plains Road in Southampton, and already the neighbors are up in arms about it. They don’t want the hassle of the entourage, the cameras, the paparazzi and all the fanfare that comes with this attention-seeking family.

It's true that the Kardashians are going to bring a lot of "fanfare" with them, but the Hamptons already deals with the Real Housewives of New York City coming through. Khloe and Kourtney can't be worse than Ramona Singer hopped up on pinot grigio.

Reportedly, the Kardashians are looking for a mansion to rent as well as a storefront for the Dash boutique they plan to set up. Southampton village mayor Mark Epley told the newspaper, "I just hear rumors like everyone else and ... we have had some reaction from some residents. The village is a fairly quiet [one], and I think there is some concern."

Yeah, the concern is that the Hamptons think they're took good for the Kardashians and want them to get out! These are people who are trying to find a retreat from their busy lives eating lunch and going shopping in Manhattan's Upper East Side. They want to relax when they come out to the Hamptons. (That's all that goes on there, right? I'm no expert.)

Epley added that the Kardashians "would have to follow all the guidelines. We can control [the] day, time and place. The issue for us has always been safety and quality of life." Um... I think the Kardashians are pretty good at following guidelines. They've had, like, eight shows. Kourtney and Khloe's filming should end up just fine. The townspeople might be upset, but E! will just edit any screams of protest out in post-production. Simple as that!
