WHOA. What would you say if Taylor Swift had no time for boys? This is a woman who has made a career out of writing songs about men who broke her heart, going all the way back to that teardrop-on-guitar inducing teenage Lothario Drew, to John, to whomever else she's dated. (Hey, she's the number one celebrity player.) Without boys, how would she know who is trouble when he walks in? Bottom line, if Swift has no time for boys, then perhaps it's time we shrug our shoulders and assume that we will not be getting any new tracks from Swift in the near future. Who's the source of this little tidbit? T-Swift's BFF, of course — her road-trippin' lady pal, Karlie Kloss. Kloss said:
I've been traveling. She's been traveling. No time for boys!
Aah, okay. Perhaps Kloss meant that while they were on their road trip, they didn't stop and stare at the men along the way. Which means, like, a momentary lapse in dating for Swift, and thereby, just a moment in time without some inspiration for her latest song.
And maybe she's just taking a bit of a break and focusing on other cultural stuff. After all, she is in NYC with Kloss, and as Kloss puts it, there's so much to do besides boy watch:
There's so much to do in New York. I love going to the ballet. Or a bike ride now that it's warm [...] There's a million and a half things to do in New York and that's why I'm so happy to have her here. It's good to have a friend.
So maybe it's chicks before dicks for Swift for the time being, but I'm pretty sure that when it comes to Taylor Swift, if there's a man she likes nearby, she'll open up her heart, her schedule, and her guitar case. Cue music. Cue record sales. Cue my iTunes receipt.
