T-Rav Explains Why He's Done With 'SC'

by Kristie Rohwedder

Monday evening, Thomas Ravenel announced he's hanging up his Southern Charm hat, whether or not the program nabs a second season. I hypothesized and theorized why he's decided to bow out of the yet to be renewed reality show, but it looks like I don’t have to hypothesize and theorize any longer (WHEW. Thank goodness. All of that speculating was wearing my mind OUT): T-Rav hath spoken. Tuesday, Charleston City Paper reached out to T-Rav about his tweet, and the former SC State Treasurer said the following:

My tweet may be a moot point as I have no idea if there will be a season two. With the birth of my baby girl, Kensie, priorities in my life have changed considerably. Raising a happy and healthy baby is priority number one.

As crestfallen as T-Rav's fans may be that the polo-wearing, polo-playing SC star has moved on from the show, you can't fault the guy for this decision. It may work for the Kardashians, but raising a new baby on reality TV isn't for everyone. Different strokes, different folks. Hey, T-Rav? Listen to your heart. There's nothing else you can do.

Craig Conover is the only Southern Charmer who's tweeted about T-Rav's announcement. I've read this tweet, like, 17 times:

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN? ARE THEY SOMEHOW LINKED?! IS THERE A SOUTHERN CHARM SIRE BOND THING GOING ON?! GET ANDY COHEN ON THE LINE.
