NPR's Scott Simon, of Weekend Edition and soothing-voice fame, has spent the last week in the ICU with his dying mother. In a modern-age tribute to his mother's passing, Simon's been touchingly live-tweeting his experience of his mom's last days.

Simon's mother passed away on Monday night.
