Jon Hamm's Bobblehead Actually Looks More Like These 7 Celebrities — PHOTOS
As celebrity-inspired products go, there is nothing better than a well-intentioned but accidentally hilarious "lookalike" item. You know the type — Kate Middleton's portrait, Jennifer Lopez' wax figure, this bobblehead of Jon Hamm that looks absolutely nothing like Jon Hamm. The face shape, the stubble, the smile that the actor never shares unless he's hosting an episode of Saturday Night Live; the toy's creators may have had the best of intentions, but the only way the bobblehead would resemble Don Draper is if it was meant as a product of Roger Sterling's LSD-addled imagination.
That's not to say that it isn't attractive, however. Although the bobblehead, commissioned by the St. Louis Cardinals to honor Hamm, a baseball fan and St. Louis native, looks absolutely nothing like the Mad Men star, it does bear a strong resemblance to a few other handsome Hollywood actors; it's just too bad that none of them have had their own versions of Jon Hamm Night (August 18, if you're marking your calendar) to warrant collectible toys made in their honor, but perhaps their time will come soon. Seven celebrities the bobblehead of Jon Hamm looks more like than Jon Hamm:
1. Eric Bana
I mean, the stubble is uncanny. What's to say the creators of the bobblehead weren't secretly paying homage to the Lone Survivor star?
2. Joe Manganiello
Or perhaps they just had a thing for the Magic Mike actor? We wouldn't blame them.
3. Henry Cavill
And then there's Henry Cavill, of Man of Steel. Add on a bit of five o'clock shadow, and you've got yourself a doppleganger.
4. Gerard Butler
Jon Hamm and Gerard Butler look nothing alike. Jon Hamm's bobblehead, however, could easily pass for a version of the 300 star.
5. Matt Bomer
Those eyebrows, that smile — someone give us a real Matt Bomer bobblehead, stat.
6. Ben Affleck
Maybe it's the hat, but there's something about the Jon Hamm toy that reminds us of another big sports fan, Ben Affleck.
7. Jon Hamm on 30 Rock
Hamm's 30 Rock look is the closest the bobblehead actually gets to resembling the actor, and still, it's a stretch. A bad Jon Hamm lookalike, though, is still a whole lot better than nothing; Mad Men fans, start placing your orders.
