A Lesson in Vampy Glam Style Via Anna Paquin

Any True Blood fan will probably be familiar with the roller coaster of emotions that comes along with loving the hit (and soon-to-end) HBO series. You likely finished season one proud to be a fan of the groundbreaking new show, a pride that quickly faded into hushed whispers around the water cooler on Monday morning come seasons two, three, and four, when things started to go beyond the normal boundaries of weird and into the realm of just plain insanity.

Then, after seasons of being afraid to admit to anyone other than close and trusted friends that you watch a show filled with ridiculous-and-often-pointless plot lines, your embarrassment probably turned to resignation and the general mindset of, I might as well stick with the show until the end, since I’ve watched it this long and the guys just keep getting hotter.

And I may be the only one, but a love of certain characters’ off-screen personalities and senses of style (Anna Paquin’s, in particular) was a considerable driving force for continuing to tune into the supernatural series even as it devolved into a total hot mess — a dedication that definitely paid off on Tuesday when the actress showed up to the season 7 premiere wearing a super-sexy LBD that totally captured what I’d like to think of as “vampy glam” style.

Hitting the red-carpet premiere in New York wearing a little black dress that looked every bit the sexy staple it is — without being one bit boring — Paquin practically sizzled in her sleek, side-tie Thakoon number and ankle-strap pumps.

But it wasn’t just the dress that added a little vamp to the True Blood star’s look. In fact, the luxe, wrapped gold necklace; stacked gilded bracelets; voluminous ’do; and smoky eyes combined for the perfect amount of sultry seduction to complement her otherwise basic ensemble.

And if, for some reason I could never understand, Paquin’s premiere look just isn’t quite doing it for you, then a peek at the adoring looks she was shooting co-star and hubby Stephen Moyer should be enough to melt your heart, right?
