Don't Take Our Beaches or We'll Call the Cops!

by Arielle Dachille

Fancy beachgoers of the Hamptons, be warned! Your summer fun is subject to a Kardashian takeover. Let this serve as a call to arms. Kourtney Kardashian and Khloe Kardashian have been spotted filming their new show on an East Hampton beach and the locals are fighting back. Town authorities have alerted residents to give them a call if they spy a Kardashian infestation on any of their shores. Because nothing says "relaxing beach day" like a 30 person camera crew and the jangling of belly chains.

In a story published earlier on Wednesday, Page Six reported that the East Hampton police were asking residents to call the cops if they saw the Kardashians filming on the town's beaches. Last week, Kourtney and Khloe were seen filming an episode of their new show Kourtney and Khloe Take The Hamptons on a beach in the neighboring town of Amagansett. Cue the old rich people freakout! According to East Hampton community board members, the Kardashians haven't received clearance from the town trustees, and thus aren’t legally allowed to film on their local beaches. This is all just a sneak attack with casualties that include your peace and quiet. Town trustee Diane McNally says,

The trustees should have been notified if they had applied for a permit to film on the beach, and we were not notified. Filming on our beaches is disruptive. Our residents are entitled to peace and quiet. I suggest that if anyone sees the Kardashians filming on the beach, they should call the police…

Sure! Their residents are entitled to peace and quiet. Even if the blue-bloods of the Hamptons are so wealthy that they can pay for peace and quiet at any time they want, the residents have made it clear that they wan't nothing to do with the show. No means no, guys. After all, not everyone wants their hate-watching material to haunt them on the scant occasions that they make it out of the house. Sure, Kourtney and Khloe may have persuaded various other American beaches into submitting to their trash TV imperialism. However, the Kardashians should take warning. The Hamptons ain’t Miami.
