'RHONJ' Hasn't Even Scratched Her Surface Yet

by Laura Rosenfeld

When I first heard someone say, "I'm a hot bunch of fun," on the Season 6 premiere of Real Housewives of New Jersey , I thanked the reality TV gods for sending us another bubbly, over-the-top personality to add some levity to this show, which has gotten kind of dark as the seasons have gone on. That personality belongs to Nicole Napolitano, one of three new housewives joining the cast this season after Caroline Manzo and Jacqueline Laurita's departures from the show. The other two are Nicole's twin sister Teresa Aprea and friend Amber Marchese, also from Colts Neck, New Jersey.

From last Sunday's premiere, we know that Nicole is divorced from her husband of 14 years, and the couple has two sons, Joey and Anthony. She's been dating Bobby for nine months, and he's best friends with Marchese's husband Jim. She lovingly bickers with her technically younger sister, and who doesn't do that with his or her sibling? And her personal mantra is, "A woman needs only two things: Dunkin' Donuts and oral sex." Duly noted.

But all of that just skims the surface of who is sure to be a cast member with many layers, like Shrek or onions. Let's take a look at what we've learned about Nicole since the RHONJ premiere.

She's originally from Brooklyn

In the above clip of Nicole, she says, "You can take the girl out of Brooklyn, but you can't take Brooklyn out of the girl." It sure sounds like Nicole is from the BK and not the NJ originally.

She's a private aviation specialist

That's a fancy title, isn't it? I'm impressed just reading the words. What Nicole actually does is handle all of the travel plans, presumably mainly private air travel, for wealthy and fabulous people. I wonder if she's ever planned any of the nightmare-cations we've seen on every Real Housewives incarnation?

She was an adorable twin

Not to say that Nicole and Teresa are not good-looking now or anything, but come on. Babies. In. Matching. Outfits.

She lives at home

After Nicole got divorced, she couldn't afford to live on her own, so she moved back in with her parents. Some adults at her age might feel embarrassed or awkward to do so, but Napolitano is pretty into it.

She's a businesswoman

Aside from her current job as a private aviation specialist, Nicole has done all right for herself in the business world. She reportedly owns a Dairy Queen. Nicole also ran a family restaurant when she was 20 years old, ran a home business on personal development, and won a Rising Star Award, according to her official Bravo bio. I don't know who exactly issued that award, but hey, it sounds impressive, and isn't that all that really matters?

She thinks she's a model

Just look at the way this woman poses. I think she has a smize at the ready at all times.
