Wait Til You See Him As Hedwig

Get your best short suit ready, because we now have the first picture of Andrew Rannells as Hedwig in Hedwig and The Angry Inch on Broadway. The Girls star will be stepping into Neil Patrick Harris's Tony Award winning heels on August 20, and damn, he looks great. He definitely looks great in his lipstick, eyeshadow, and OH, the glitter.

In case you're unfamiliar with Rannells outside of the Girls sphere, he's a bonafide Broadway star who wowed audiences in The Book of Mormon. He's got the vocal pipes to pull off the role — seriously, the guy can sing — and we know from Elijah's beach house dancing that he's got the moves. NPH's shoes are pretty big ones to fill — Harris garnered incredible reviews for his performance, but Rannells definitely can fill them, while also making the role his own.

Buzzfeed shared a pretty cool graphic comparing the Harris and Rannells — which you can see if you click here — and it proves that one thing is certain: both actors look amazing as Hedwig.
