What It Feels Like to Do The Ice Bucket Challenge

by Emma Cueto

In case you have still not heard of the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, it is more or less what it sounds like: if someone challenges you, you have to either dump a bucket of ice water on your head or donate to the ALS Association. And while all the celebrity attention and mass participation has been great for raising funds and awareness about the disease, getting challenged can be a little...stressful. I mean, ice water is cold guys.

Plus, you know, there's that whole thing where it's a video that all your friends and family are going to see on Facebook, so you don't want it to be either lame or embarrassing, which is a tough needle to thread. And since it's for a good cause, you don't have the option to blow it off because then everyone will think you're an awful person. So if you're broke enough that you can't reasonably afford to donate, you're left with no choice.

But never fear; you are not alone. In fact, Elite Daily has a whole video about the (somewhat ridiculous) stress of being called out to do the Ice Bucket Challenge. While I'm not sure why it's specific to girls — I know there are dudes out there who bitch and moan about having to do this, too — it is a pretty hilarious spoof of how terrifying the prospect of the Ice Bucket Challenge can be.
