50 Cent's Ice Bucket Challenge Is... Different

Considering that the ice bucket challenge to raise money for ALS research has been done by about a million celebs at this point (even perfectly perfect always perfect Anna Wintour did one, and it doesn't look like the trend will die down soon) it makes sense that celebs doing it now would make slight variations to theirs so it stands apart. Chris Pratt tried to get away with drinking hard liquor, and now, 50 Cent took his opportunity to, well...not do anything that the challenge states, except he mentioned ALS (and hopefully donated some money). Instead, 50 Cent's ice bucket challenge included a dare for Floyd Mayweather, who he's been beefing with, to recite, from memory, a whole page of a Harry Potter book without stopping or messing up, and 50 will donate $750,000 to a charity of Mayweather's choice.

50 also didn't bother with the whole ice part of the challenge, because "fuck the bucket of ice." Which, you know, kind of defeats the whole purpose.

Honestly, I'm not even sure what to think about this — should we be laughing or gasping?! It's good he wants to give money to charity, at least. What's probably the best part (and most ironic), though, is that when 50 Cent wrote the challenge caption, he typed the following:

Floyd will you except my ALS/ESL CHALLENGE: I will donate $750k to a charity of your choice, If you can read a full page out of a Harry Potter book out loud without starting and stopping or fucking up. lmao

I think/know 50 meant "accept," not "except." But that's OK! Autocorrect happens. I guess.
